My friends and I are going to celebrate it with a party later tonight hahaha!

I guess I'll talk about Lights & Cameras event.

I worked on my Lotte cosplay 4 days before the event.

Why do I always leave things to the last minute? -3-"

In anycase, it was really warm that day and I didn't eat brunch so I wasn't feeling too well.

I drove to QEP and decided to change in my car there...

omg I thought I was going to pass out from heat stroke xD

Shortly after I finished changing, I bumped into Shiyu and Carol~

whilst Shiyu was pulled aside for some photos, I snapped a shot with Carol.

After that, I met up with my group of friends and we just sat around.

I got some photos taken from Rico & Celia again.

There were some photographers that helped me take pictures as well--

After that, I was getting really fatigued so I changed out of costume and sat till it was time for our goodbye dinner party for Heather.

We ate at Red Robin's and while we were talking about Gundam Seed near the end of our dinner, the manager came up to us and asked us to quiet down XD"

So we ended up leaving to go to bubble tea instead.

We continued our Gundam Seed cosplay plans/chat at the bubble tea place we went to~

So now we have epic Gundam Seed plans. I actually hadn't watched past episode 7 during the chat. So I'm trying to catch up since I've been forced into cosplaying Cagalli (I joke you not. Force is a great description!) I really wanted to cosplay Athrun... I guess I'll do that on my own another time >3<

I got my Nanami wig and S-class/A-class patches from Karen~ can't wait to cosplay Uta-pri!♥

I seriously absolutely am in LOVE with the series.

I'm reading the game plot right now for each character and so far I've read Sho's, Ittoki's, and Tokiya's but I have to say that Sho's is seriously the best out of the 3.

Mostly because it's really touching and he's adorable. It may be biased though.

I just think he's the cutest one of all xD

Then yesterday, I had dinner at Anton's with Kero, Ashlee, Lisa and Bam.

It was super filling but awesome~

I kind of want to go back again since I loveeeee pasta but I'm not sure if I want to wait in that kind of line ^^"

While waiting in line, I realized that I was wearing a poncho lol

Then I screamed to Bam "ki ni naru aitsu wa poncho~ nuuuu" xD and started dancing a bit.

I love Fukujun♥

Anyways, when I got home--

I kinda wanted to take a picture with my awesome mask that I've never shown others.

Anyways, that's all I'll blog for now. A bit tired-- gonna watch some more Seed and sleep.

Mini Comi & new shoots

First of all, I'd like to say that before I talk about Mini Comi...

I've suddenly became amazingly backlogged since I just received some of my Fanime pictures xD"

I still have Sakuracon and Anime Expo shoots I have yet to receive too!

So my deviantArt will probably be exposed to shoot spammage for the next several weeks so please look forward to that >w<

The day before Mini Comi was also Tammy's birthday so I joined her party after work.

She just drank a lot. Not much~ haha :P

The day after was Mini Comi and I ended up going about an hour before closing since I didn't have much to buy... or more like I was trying to stop myself ^^" It was nice though~ I got to see one of my high school friends again since she was selling artwork there as well. I ended up buying a Madoka pin from her even though I haven't watched the series except 1st ep so far XD" She goes by izuma on deviantart. Be sure to check out her awesome work :D

After the venue ended, Jun helped me take pictures of my Shiemi cosplay with Elle cosplaying as Izumo. We ended up finding an empty opened classroom which we did the shoot in. After photoshoot, we all separated for dinner ^^

Elle and I ended up grabbing some food nearby so we can make it in time for Jin's concert.

 

Since there was also a line up before the concert, I just hung out with Tammy cause she was staff. I kept getting photobombed...

So that was a great way to finish off my week! :D

As for this week, there was the annual gay pride parade.

I ended, as usual, being late so I got there to see the last 3 floats orz

It was still cool 8D"

My friend, Bam and I went to eat lunch nearby as we didn't eat all day yet XD"

I ended up ordering a ramen set, salmon carpaccio and a ginger ale from Kingyo.

It was... really expensive~

We walked around downtown for a bit but there wasn't much to do.

We visited Book-Off and Pacific Center, then decided to head home.

We were debating what to do at home and if we should have dinner, etc.

So I ended up texting Sonia to see what her and others were up to as I know they were at the Powell Japanese Festival earlier.

I ended up going home to pick up the car and driving to her house to hangout~

Her adorable cat, Toro... we're kinda friends 8D

He's gotten huge now!

We finally decided on japanese food nearby so we all drove to go get fooooood.

I grabbed bubble tea before going back to Sonia's house and when we got there, we all decided to play her Wii dance game!

It was loads of fun and we danced from all sorts of genre like... hip hop, disco and even Bollywood style XD" Lou was so cute in that belly dancing skirt thing<3

As for today, I ended up oversleeping so I didn't get to go fabric shopping for Cos & Effect next weekend.

Instead, I walked my dog at the dog walk and took pictures of the scenery :D

It was truly pretty and there's a lot of good locations for photo ops actually O_o

I think the picture above on the right would be perfect for the scene where Tokiya first meets Nanami from Uta no Prince-sama Maji Love 1000% xDDD

Yes, I'm watching the series right now and I'm absolutely in love with it hahaha

I'm a bit too scared to go in though cause I didn't want to be attacked by bugs as it was rather close to the body of water as seen in the above picture ^^"

Summer Festival

This past Saturday was the Summer Festival presented by ARC.

The event started at 2pm but I didn't get around until a little after 4pm, no surprise there.

I was planning to wear Lion Sheryl because I figured July should be really hot!

I was so wrong...

In the end, when I woke up-- it was cold and raining outside.

So I decided to wear something layered or fully covered.

I was thinking of wearing Wako but in the end, I thought I'd try wearing my Kyoko cosplay from last year's AX that I never wore out.

I did wear my Wako wig for it though... it was a bit too yellow in my opinion but it still worked.

It was so embarassing so to wear such a flashy costume so I tried my best to make it as cool as possible.

...I figured if I rolled up the sleeves I'd look cooler, hahaha~ orz

It was alright. I had to borrow my mother's sneakers since I don't own a pair of white sneakers.

I was happy to be able to see all my friends again, was nice since it had been a while.

We didn't really do much and honestly, the event itself was rather boring >A<

The only good part about it was Rai's performance which was awesome!

She has a really beautiful voice ;A;

...it was my first time seeing her perform actually~ hehe

Really envious =3= My voice is nasally-sounding and weird XD"

 

Heather and her friend, Colleen killed some time by drawing pictures as Ashirogi Muto.

In the end, I wasn't able to get my drawing done until dinner time =u="

BUT I WAS THE LAST PERSON AND IT WAS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL ;A;

Soon after Rai's performance, we all decided to head over to Red Robin's nearby for dinner.

It was nice on my part meeting new people who also love cosplay!

We had seriously interesting/serious conversations but I love that aspect.

While waiting for our food, I got my picture drawn from all the way across the table by Colleen and Heather!

Anyways, after dinner was time to go home!

Since we were basically borderline of 2 cities I'm extremely unfamiliar with, I got a bit lost trying to drive home. T__T"

I didn't have my GPS with me so I counted on my iPhone's map... I didn't know which direction I head to head over to until I started moving around.

So many U-turns, it sucked big time D= I hate driving alone too!

I feel like every time I go out with my cosplay friends, they challenge me to drive to new places all the time cause I'm always getting lost xDDD

Anyways, it's all good!

I made it back home eventually after heading through North, West, East and South-- haha

Can't wait for more adventures this Saturday at Cos & Effect~

Oh yeah-- if you wonder what I did after Saturday, nothing really. Life?

Work on Sunday and today was chill day!

I did a bit of shopping and got my package from when I ordered it in mid-June *__*

I was so worried it was lost in the mail but luckily, it was just delayed because of the postal strike that happened recently.

What did I get? Just eyelashes and eyedrops.

Let me say one thing.

The Rohto Lychee eye drop for contacts is absolutely amazinggggg!

If you haven't tried japanese eyedrops before, it's worth giving it a shot.

They're totally different from American eye drops you find at your local drugstore.

But I guess Rohto also sells an American version of their eyedrops.

The lychee one is different though.

Hard to explain but I can actually feel a lychee scent to the eyedrops.

I don't know how and I probably sound really stupid now but it's nice and cooling!

I usually use it if my eyes feel irritated with the contacts in...

Yeah, give it a try if you ever have the chance! =)

[SUMMER♥LOVE]

Saturday was a photoshoot meetup at SFU. The event was called [SUMMER♥LOVE].

I had to go for a meeting before hand so I didn't end up arriving till almost at the end of the meetup orz

Not to mention on the drive there, practically all of East Hastings was blocked off. =__="

So I ended up having to take side roads till I got to Willingdon.

It was SUPER annoying!

To be honest, I felt slightly cosplay'd out after Fanime so I wasn't originally intending to cosplay but I still ended up wearing an old C.C cosplay that I never really got to wear before. Last time I wore it was to Kumoricon in 2009 but I forgot the black strappings.

Luckily, Celia and Rico still helped me take some beautiful pictures~ ^0^

We all went for dinner and bubble tea at Kaworu's house afterwards.

While we were driving to bubble tea, Uzuki and I were wondering why everyone was honking at us.

Then we realized the Canucks won the game that day xD

I thought I was driving incorrectly or something, lol

I got to see Kaworu's cute kitten, Toro too~

We played some board games and watched Kaworu's bf play Grand Theft Auto, lol~

Pretty much that was it.

Dropped Uzuki back home and then rolled around at home till bed time.

Yep! That's it~
